1. Bookings & Confirmation
All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once payment has been received and you have received confirmation from us. By submitting a booking you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
2. Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking. Payments are processed securely via SumUp. We accept all major debit and credit cards. Receipts will be provided on request.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled walk will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled walk are non-refundable. If we need to cancel due to severe weather, illness, or emergency, a full refund will be issued or an alternative date offered.
4. Health, Vaccinations & Parasite Treatment
All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, flea treatment, and worming before their first walk. By booking, you confirm your dog is in good health and fit to participate. You must notify us immediately of any change in your dog's health, medical condition, or treatment. We reserve the right to refuse a walk if we have concerns about a dog's health or welfare.
5. Allergies & Medical Conditions
You must disclose all known allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, and medications relevant to your dog at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the service without refund. We cannot be held liable for reactions arising from undisclosed conditions.
6. Behaviour & Dangerous Dogs
By booking, you confirm that your dog has not displayed aggressive, threatening, or dangerous behaviour toward people or other animals. You must inform us of any history of such behaviour before the first walk. We reserve the right to refuse or immediately end any walk if a dog displays aggressive or dangerous behaviour. No refund will be given in this circumstance. We comply fully with the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
7. Dog Identification & Legal Compliance
Under the Control of Dogs Order 1992, all dogs in a public place must wear a collar with an ID tag displaying the owner's name and address. You are responsible for ensuring your dog meets this requirement before each walk. We will not walk a dog that does not have appropriate identification.
8. Off-Lead Walking
We will only walk your dog off-lead where it is safe and lawful to do so, and only with your prior written consent. Off-lead walking is carried out entirely at your own risk. We cannot be held liable for injury, loss, or death resulting from off-lead exercise where consent has been given.
9. Key Holding
If you provide us with a key or access code to your property, we agree to keep it secure at all times and never label it with your address. Keys will be returned to you upon termination of our agreement. We will not make copies without your written permission. You agree to notify us immediately if your locks are changed or your key is lost.
10. Transport
Where dogs are transported in a vehicle, they will be secured safely at all times in accordance with the Highway Code. Dogs will never be left unattended in a vehicle, particularly in warm weather, in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
11. Insurance & Liability
dazza walks dogs ๐พ๐พ holds full public liability insurance appropriate for dog walking services. We take all reasonable care of your dog whilst in our charge. However, we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, illness, or death of a dog arising from pre-existing health conditions, interactions with other animals, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service booked.
12. Veterinary Emergencies
In the event of a veterinary emergency, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If we are unable to reach you, we will seek emergency veterinary treatment at our discretion. All veterinary costs are the sole responsibility of the owner. You authorise us to consent to emergency treatment on your behalf where necessary to protect your dog's welfare.
13. Dog Fouling
We will always clean up after your dog in public places in accordance with the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005. Waste will be disposed of responsibly.
14. Photography & Social Media
We may photograph or film your dog during walks for use on our website or social media. No images will include personal information. If you do not wish your dog to be featured, please let us know in writing at the time of booking and we will respect that request.
15. Data Protection & GDPR
We collect and store your personal information (name, address, phone number, email) solely for the purpose of providing our dog walking service. Your data will never be sold or shared with third parties. You have the right to request access to, amendment of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at dazzawalkmydog@yahoo.com. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
16. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
